Typically, NO. You have a little less than the 16G to begin with because of program data. And, even if you don't have very much on your hard drive in the way of data. A true backup includes programs as well as the files. You would not have enough room on this drive.

Are there screen protectors for both the top and bottom screens ?

Screen Protectors are universal. Meaning you can put it on the top screen and/or the bottom screen. And, you should be putting one on both.
