Yes, its well noted by now that The Bourne Legacy is just a way for Universal to make more money with a different star, and the film suffers a bit because of Matt Damon's lack of presence, but Jeremy Renner's Aaron Cross is a pleasant enough diversion. The PQ and AQ is terrific with the 35mm film transfer and a scene or two of digital photography lends itself well to BluRay, with sharp, detailed images and an awesome soundfield to make you duck for cover from every gunshot heard and felt throughout. The extras are pleasant if not totally in-depth with a few features to satisfy temporarily, with the filmmaker commentary being the main draw here. The featurettes are decent as well as some deleted scenes, but overall nothing to get worked up over.

Yes, its true, its not as good as Short Circuit but its not for the lack of trying. Sure, there is some good acting, Number 5's practical effects are still a hoot, and some dark moments to scar your child's psyche for life, but it just feels a little too similar to the original and the story isn't as strong as the first, as well. Still, its worth a pick up if your tired of bright and shiny everyone-is-happy kids films or just want to relive some kiddie nostalgia, and with decent picture and audio quality and an okay EPK featurette, it would make a good addition to your collection.

Rocky, the perennial underdog classic, finally got the glory with this terrific DVD release from Sony/MGM. The PQ/AQ isn't great, as such since this was a film from 1976 which film stock was mostly cheap, grain stock and only epic films released in 70mm had 6channel audio, but for what its worth, the grain helps the film with the whole Philly street vibe Stallone and Avildsen strove for. The mono sound is good but the included 5.1 Dolby and DTS remasters aid with the boxing scenes and Bill Conti's classic score tremendously with good spacing and decent bass. The extras are also top notch with 4 commentaries, tons of documentaries and featurettes, 8mm boxing footage and more finally grace a well-deserved classic in need of care.

The film is classic Nolan with his usual Nolan-isms, a great cast and some great technicians behind the lens to offer a beautiful film about survival which is fairly overlong with an ending that pushes credibility to the cinematic edge of the cliff, but all in all a terrific sci-fac film. The picture quality is outstanding, with Hoyt van Hoytema's cinematography on film(especially the 70mm IMAX scenes) is superb and has my faith with his work on SPECTRE will be as good if not better than Skyfall. The audio is top notch ( I wish I had an Atmos capable system) and the extras are in depth and plentiful with the BBY exclusive bonuses a nice touch. A recommended purchase, even if your not a fan of the film, the specs alone are enough to show off your system and a free IMAX film cell is also cool bonus to entice buyers.

Just buy this classic, whether you've seen it or not. The bluray is primo, and the 3D is some of the best ever. The extras are plentiful and lengthy with a mix of newly produced and previous special edition DVD sets with featurettes, commentary, deleted scenes and many documentaries to satisfy everyone. Just buy it!!

A decent 80s movie filled with raunchiness and prefame actors, but nothing more than this. The film strives to stand toetotoe with American Grafitti, with a few scenes trying to make us feel for the characters, but fail miserably. Still, it's funny and worth a peek. The picture and audio fall in line with low budget 80s films, with loads of grain and some softness, and mono sound, but still decent. The extras are fairly slim, with the commentary by Floyd Mutrux the biggest draw. Worth it for a decent price.

Just a stunning image..... Filmic, detailed, just *mwah* image quality, with the Mastered in 4K stamp on the case worth its place. The audio is also mesmerizing to my eardrums with each gunshot, tank shell expelled and line of dialogue heard with nary a pop, tick or sign of static heard. The extras are also great, with the BBY exclusive adding extra goodness, with the lack of a commentary the only negative. Pick it up, like immediately!!!!

A real good comedy, nothing too original, but funny enough and well acted to make it memorable. The bluray picture quality is detailed and sharp and the audio is terrific, but nothing more. Extras are pretty decent, with a few featurettes, deleted scenes and an outtakes reel, but nothing to really get in depth of making the film. The best extra is the unrated cut, but the extras need more depth. Other than that, a well rounded bluray and worth a spot on your shelf.

The movie is quite good, better than Divergent and Mortal Instruments, but not as good as Harry Potter, nonetheless a YA adaptation that is for anyone who loves a good mystery action film. The picture and sound are terrific along with a ton of great extras to satisfy everyome.

Yes, I knew this was going to bomb, but still thought to watch it as it looked pretty decent. It is decent, but nothing more, nothing less. I'm sure the directed wanted to make a great epic about feudal Japan, but was interfered with by executives to make it a big action film. Keanu Reeves is also lax, but the costumes, art design and more are stunning. The 3D not so much, but its still not Clash of the Titans bad.
