GLADIATOR - Blu-ray - Ridley Scott (BLADE RUNNER, ALIEN) transports Hollywood to second-century Rome in this rousing historical epic that proudly harkens back to such films as BEN-HUR and SPARTACUS. Russell Crowe plays Maximus, a Roman general who leads the troops in conquering Germania for the empire. When an aging Marcus Aurelius (Richard Harris) tells Maximus that he'd like him to rule Rome once he's gone, a classic confrontation ensues between the brave and charming soldier-who wants to return home to his wife, son, and farm-and the jealous and conniving Commodus (Joaquin Phoenix), the emperor's only son, who is thirsty for power. Bought as a slave by the profiteering Proximo (Oliver Reed, in his last role), Maximus must kill or be killed in the ring, battling to save not only himself but the future of the very empire that he loves and honors. The film features a terrific battle sequence (that recalls the beginning of SAVING PRIVATE RYAN), huge crowd scenes of thousands of people, and even a little romance, albeit mostly taboo. The impeccably choreographed gladiator scenes are violent yet thrilling, flashing by like lightning. GLADIATOR is a glorious spectacle filled with heart and soul. Color/154 min/R/widescreen.

At the end of the day, for me, "GAME PLAY" is what wins me over. The graphics on GOW are impressive, stunning and at times down right amazing with detail. BUT, no matter how good a game may look if it doesn't play well or offers a lack luster story/objectives then I'll lose interest.
GOW has, in my opinion a powerful blend of smooth game play, powerful graphics and an intriguing story. Which leads to one more important milestone for me with games and that is "replay value".
I'm not some Playstation fanboy, been gaming for 33 years. So, I can honestly say, GOW did an excellent job at providing smooth game play, gorgeous graphics and a new twist on the story line. It isn't the same old game GOW with updated graphics. Which is nice. This is definitely worthy of your money and a fine addition to any game collection.

At the end of the day it's Mario Kart. Like a new model Ford Mustang it offers some updated and refined game play for a tried and true classic.
The best part is with the DLC you can get 48 courses and 42 characters to choose from. AND, all of the courses are unlocked so you and your gaming buddies can play them ASAP.
One gripe is that they offer an auto assist type mode to help out new players stay on the course. It is a little confusing on how turn the mode off but at least it can be.
Great game, fun courses and lots of replay value. Worth every penny you spend.

Taking a vacation to rekindle old friendships that eventually save the day isn't exactly an original plot. However, throw in some ethnic women, alcohol and lowered inhibitions while partying in New Orleans and you've got the makings for some pretty raunchy moments.
No doubt some people will take offense to the sometime raucous college bathroom humor. BUT for those who don't, they will no doubt get a few hard laughs and a couple of, "Oh my God! That is crazy!" moments."
While I wouldn't recommend this movie to my parents. I would recommend this movie to anyone who enjoyed American Pie or Friday. Because the tone and humor are along the same vein.
P.S. You won't be looking at grapefruits the same.

Another COD shooter with a few new twists.

The bottom line is that this game is fun, challenging and entertaining. And at the end of the day that's what a game is supposed to provide.
The WWII setting is a nice throwback to the roots of the COD series and a welcomed departure from the futuristic ingredients the series has added over the years.
The story mode is decent with a couple of unique characters such as a female resistance fighter that you can play with (a first as far as I can recall in the COD franchise.)
The mutliplayer is where it's at though. Definitely will get your value out of this.

One of many noticeable highlights aside from the vibrant colors and catchy music is the way the 3D world seamlessly blends with the 2D game play. Great value for your money. No, you do not need the wheel joy cons to play Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. You can pop in the game to the Switch console and play with the standard controllers provided.
