Good With A Familiar Look And Feel

This is a good movie. But it reminded me of No Country For Old Men. That;s not a bad thing. That is an awesome movie. Not so much for the specific story line but for the feel, look, and characters. Jeff Bridges character is a definite reminder of Tommy Lee Jones. Bridges did a good job, Tommy Lee Jones did a great job. Again, this is a good movie, a worthwhile watch for sure. But personally it reminded me of just how good a movie NCFOM is.

I compared this 4K version to the blu-ray version on a new LG 65" 4K set. While the improved resolution and color are noticeable it is not a major improvement. The added benefits of 4K will be most appreciated on large screens.

A visually impressive movie but long and it does languish a bit. Typical snappy dialog from Tarantino. Good performances. Overall a decent effort but falls short of Tarantino's better films. Certainly worth a watch but I'm not sure it will merit multiple viewings.
