Do I have to leave the USB connected to the cord it came with, plugged in to my computer in order to work? It says its wireless but if I take the cord out of my computer, it doesn't work.

I used this product to connect my desktop to my samsung tv. It works fantastic for the picture but there is no sound. My old monitor connector had a green input that came off the VGA. Do I need this or should the HDMI carry the sound?
HDMI normally will carry viseo and audio, I believe the downfall is that PC video cards are not normally designed to send audio. You would need to connect the audio from the PC either from the sound card if you have and add on card or use the headset out and connect to the TV.

Will this cable connect an HP monitor to the back of a Lenovo computer tower? The pin portion has 24 dots (8 long by 3 wide).
This product is a simple conversion tool. I did not need any additional drivers in order to use. If your tower has Digital out into an HDMI port on the monitor yes it will work. I used the one I bought on an HP used the digital out and connected to a Samsung monitor using the HDMI input port.
