Blu Ray not worth it

This is one of my all time favorite movies, that's why when I heard that it was being brought to Blu Ray, I was extremely excited. I purchased this today, and after watching it I was seriously dissappointed. The sound is amazing - in True HD quality. The image, however, is not. Watching this on my 52" LCD TV is like watching the DVD, the image is grainy and not at all what i've come to expect from Blu Ray. This transfer is extremely dissappointing, it feels like FOX is just trying to double dip with this one, and they didn't even put forth the effort into cleaning up the image for the Blu Ray! If you already own the Director's Cut of the film, don't bother with this Blu Ray. If you don't, save your money and buy the DVD.
What's great about it: It's Donnie Darko!
What's not so great: Horrible Blu Ray Transfer - like watching a DVD
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Horrible Movie

This movie had so much potential. It could have been great. In fact, the first 30 minutes were. There was mounting suspense, I was actually creeped out. Then it did a nosedive. It was a complete ripoff of Vacancy, and what's worse is that it wasn't even a good ripoff! This could have been a fantastic movie, but it faltered. At one point, I was begging for the death of the main characters so that the movie would end! The last 45 minutes were so mindnumbingly stupid that I just wound up getting mad and wanted the movie to end. So much potential was squandered here. I'm a hardcore Horror movie fan, so this may appeal to those who are interested in thrillers or suspense. It might be entertaining for you...it was not for me.
What's great about it: Scott Speedman is hot
What's not so great: Vacancy Ripoff
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
