The regular game play modes of "Season" or "Exhibition" are fun. No problems there. However!
The "Road to the Show" aka RTTS is horrible! It's a complete waste of time and unbearably frustrating. It should just be called "Get a Ground Ball Out."
I created my player as a pitcher, ok. Followed the "guidelines" as to what you are supposed to do. Once you get into the game you need to earn "Training Points" to help your player excel at the game. However, the majority of these are gained by in game "goals." Completely frustrating!!! "Get a ground ball out... Get a ground ball out..." To no end.
The games feel scripted and predicable. You can tell by the pitch meter if you actually have a shot at a K or not. If it's "herky jerky" you know the game has another plan for the hitter at the plate. "Get a ground ball out."
I've seen AI players on "my team" run AWAY from the ball. Stop short of it and even seen the entire infield fall over and miss a ball. Several times an outfielder has just run at the wall as the player rounds the bases. Only thing you can do is wait for the inside the park home run to be over. Ridiculous. Predictable. Pointless. It never simply lets you just pitch like it does in the other game play modes. Why the level of programmed "unpredictability" can't be employed on the RTTS game play mode is beyond me. Why not earn these "Training Points" by stats for the game instead of these bogus (and intrusive) manipulated "goals?"
Even if you can find away to get around some of the "goals" and have a good game, it wont last long, you will end up with a bad game. Example: 3 pitches, straight down broadway... "BALL!" You can tell it's not a ball. Then comes the "walk" followed by guess what "goal?" GET A GROUND BALL OUT!!!!!!!
Save your money, this game in the end isn't worth the frustration. I took mine out back and shot it. As a true lover of baseball, the manipulated and obvious scripting of the RTTS game play takes away all the appeal.
What's great about it: I love baseball
What's not so great: RTTS predictable and frustrating.

A fantastic movie that didn't get the respect it deserved.
This movie was cited as being racist, when it was actually quite the contrary. It's time to hang up the "political correctness." Differences are good! Division is bad. The racial and cultural "slurs" went both ways in this movie.
So if you're easily offended over the rediculous, skip it.
If you want to see a fantastic movie with a great story, you'll love it!
What's great about it: Everything! A wonderful story!
