I was considering purchasing the Nest prior to getting google home. When I was gifted google home, I immediately bought the Nest.
It's great to be able to control everything from my phone, and even more amazing to tell google home to set there tempature when I'm laying on the couch.
I had the thermostat off while I was on vacation. Instead of coming home to a cold house, I turned it on as soon as the airplane landed. Truly amazing.

I ended up switching this out for a Nest because I wanted full home integration. Using my google home with Nest is much more efficient that going to an app on my phone.
It is also much smaller than you would believe by the picture.

Like my washer, they simply installed it, said it was working and left. They could have showed me the functionality of the unit, but in the end, how hard is it for me to figure out how to wash and dry clothes.
Works well once I got used to the temp settings, which were different than my last one
