It's a very different movie in the style of the sci-fi movies of the late sixties/early seventies. Heavy on the plot twist & unusual perspectives and not relying on the special effects/CGI to tell the story.

A band of determined Russian soldiers fight to hold a strategic building in their devastated city against a ruthless German army, and in the process become deeply connected to a Russian woman who has been living there. In STALINGRAD, directed by Fedor Bondarchuk, the scale of the battle contrasts dramatically with the human drama of the Russian soldiers, the few remaining civilians and their invaders into Stalingrad.

3 of the 4 movies are excellent, the weak link being "Sum of All Fears" which is still a good movie I just find Ben Affleck a little flat in his take on the Jack Ryan character. Chris Pine is much better in the new 1, "The Shadow Recruit".
