Great for home office

I bought this item to replace the 1300va model, which was too loud for my needs. This one is not only silent under all loads, but also features front usb and usb c ports for phone charging (all on battery), which is a great feature. I am able to run my gaming pc, and 2 lcd monitors on this easily without overloading. It works seamlessly with APC's powerchute program (needs updating), and is a relatively small form factor, compared to a lot of other comparable ups models.

Loud, and expired

This item was purchased on sale on the bestbuy website. It was shipped to store 4 days later and brought home, only to find out that the battery within was almost 2 years old and no good. Due to this, the internal cooling fan was extremely loud when under load. The replacement I received direct from APC also had a relatively loud fan. My recommendation is to go with the 1100va model if using for home office use, as that model is much quieter. Also, make sure the inspection date is within 6 months, to make sure the battery is still good.
