Dryer vent too long

The vent in the dryer kit was way too long for my dryer which is up against the wall. The men installing the vent should have cut it down but instead they made loops to fit it to the wall joint. The installation instructions say to make the vent as short as possible. Otherwise the men were very courteous and were careful not to bump into walls and doors while bringing the dryer to the basement. They gave me time to clean under the old dryer when it was removed before instilling the new one.

Washer installation efficient

The men installing my washer were very nice and efficient. They were careful not to bump into any walls or doors when carrying it to the basement. Once they removed the old washer, they gave me time to clean up under it before installing the new washer. They tested the washer before leaving. At all times they were very courteous.

Vent is too long

This is more an issue of the guys installing the dryer. The vent is very long and I only needed a very short vent. The installations instructions say to keep the vent as short as possible but my long vent was installed with loops to make it fit instead of being cut. This makes the air go round and round before it enters the wall joint. They should make shorter vent kits for installing up against a wall.

Washer has a small agitator so it does not interfere with amount of clothes or bedding you can add. It has enough cycles to wash all types of clothes very well. All cycles are very quiet. This top-loader does not have the modern look of front-loaders but it is so easy to load and unload, no bending over.
