This movie came out when I was in high school and my best friend and I instantly loved it, still know all the words. This anniversary set is not an entirely new dvd (its the old one repackaged along with a bluray.

Decent Movie

I think DC is struggling to find their footing with their shared universe. The movies aren't the worst movies out but they also aren't the best. If you go in with the mindset of being excited to see these characters finally get a live action turn, you'll enjoy the movie. If you're looking for a world class script with a Oscar winning storyline then this is not for you. This is just a fun movie, that barely makes sense (the extended version does help a bit). I'm holding out hope for the DC cinematic universe as a whole and will continue to watch. Gorgeous picture in 4k.

As more movies are released on 4k, I've been debating which ones to replace and this movie was a no- brainer. The colors absolutely pop and the added Black Freighter footage is awesome (the mini comic storyline in the original graphic novel).
