I honestly could not really get through the full CD because none of the songs (beginning to middle) really caught my attention. So far, I am not feeling this CD and I hate to say that because I love A.K;, however her 2007 CD, "As I Am" and even her 2009, "The Element of Freedom" album were better

Centuries from now, civilization as we know it has ceased to exist. Billions perished and nations collapsed, but over time, a feudal society emerged where the strongest rose to wealth and power. This area, known as the Badlands, is uneasily divided among seven rival Barons who control the resources necessary to daily life. Each Baron has loyal armies of trained assassins known as Clippers. Baron Quinn s head Clipper, Sunny (Daniel Wu), grew swiftly through the ranks to become Quinn s most trusted advisor. For decades, Quinn has been unchallenged as the Badlands most powerful Baron, but there is a rising suspicion among his rivals that he is growing vulnerable. The territory s newest Baron, The Widow (Emily Beecham), has begun testing his appetite for a fight. An ambush leads Sunny to a teenage boy, M.K. (Aramis Knight), who Sunny soon learns harbors a dark secret and has a hefty bounty on his head. Sunny selects M.K. as his Colt (student) and together, they will embark on an odyssey that could mean the difference between chaos and enlightenment for everyone in the Badlands.

Action at it's finest

WOW. Like other newer TV shows, the production is very movielike. The sound, images, set design, lighting and costumes are top notch. The fight scenes are over the top much like Kill Bill or the Matrix. It is a JOY to watch and hopefully will continue beyond the 6 episodes scheduled for this introductory season. Dramatic TV continues to dazzle and tell long dramatic stories that can't be told in a two hour feature, Into the Badlands is no exception. Time will tell, but this action drama may turn out to be one of the elite shows everyone will be talking about.

The life of forensic scientist Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) went into turbo mode when a particle accelerator explosion triggered a biochemical transformation that made him the fastest man alive. But now he's got to defend Central City from a rogue's gallery of equally superhuman beings and find a way to reverse the singularity brewing overhead. This complete Season 2 collection on six DVDs includes nearly three hours of extras including featurettes, gag reels, the 2015 Comic-Con panel, deleted scenes and more.

Despite the marketing as a horror flick, this is more akin to a suspense movie. Great fun

A Short But Would Make For a Great Short

It's just after Christmas. Bonnie has a play date with Mason. She brings along Woody, Buzz Lightyear, Trixie the triceratops, Rex, and Angel Kitty. Mason got a new video game and he has't play with his other new toy, the Battlesaurs. Bonnie's toys meet Reptillus Maximus who is taken with Trixie. The Cleric has set up a gladiatorial world where the other toys are smashed by the Battlesaurs. Trixie explains the joys of play to Reptillus Maximus.
The central message is to play more with imagination and toys, less with the video games. Trixie is the lead in this half hour special. She's alright to lead a special and the message is passable. There are a couple of fun scenes especially when Woody and Buzz are in it. Angel Kitty speaks with a child's voice which caught me off guard. She could be funnier. The show looks good, has some good moments but isn't anything particularly special. It's a reasonable showcase for Trix

Funny R rated comedy

I'm a HUGE Vacation fan...and went to see this new one fresh except for the trailers. Let me say this upfront....It's very funny, BUT, it's also very raunchy. I have a high tolerance for that, and still found myself cringing a few times. Funny that there was an "older" couple behind me in the theater, with their teen "kids/grand-kids". They were laughing HARD the first few minutes, then the lady says "this is too much" and they almost left...but she said "no, it's funny". They stayed all the way and we're laughing most of the whole way. BUT it is uncomfortable at times. Still, it was VERY funny.

Great One From Pixar AS ALWAYS

Pixar has done it again with this great animated film "Inside Out", this is a beautiful concept explaining emotions within humans and the story is just great. Inside Out is a great family friendly movie which I have thoroughly enjoyed getting to watch.
When Inside Out was released in theaters we were on the road a lot and Annika got to check it out on opening night, sadly with her schedule she didn't have the time to put up a review and insisted that I check it out; well I did. After a few times of watching Inside Out to make sure that my opinion didn't change, I've certainly come to the final agreement that this movie is perfect. Being that Pixar along with Disney put this movie out, that alone tells you the graphics were off the charts but the story, wow beautifully put together. The voice overs fit the character better than most films in the animation genre; great stuff! This is one of my favor Pixar related film

ONE OF THE YEARS BEST
on November 8, 2015

The combination of horror and comedy is always a volatile recipe, and the failure to mix those ingredients just right can often result in disaster. But every once in awhile, a film comes along that manages to stumble upon the secret formula for success, with Cabin in the Woods being the most recent example. Now, three years after that film blew the roof off the Paramount Theater at the SXSW Film Festival, we have another SXSW debut that premiered to a cacophonous ovation: director Todd Strauss-Schulson's The Final Girls.
Max Cartwright (Taissa Farmiga) is struggling with loss after the tragic death of her mother, 80s slasher flick icon Amanda Cartwright (Malin Akerman). When she attends an anniversary screening of her mom's landmark film, Camp Bloodbath, a freak accident transports Max and her friends (Alia Shawkat, Alexander Ludwig, Thomas Middleditch and Nina Dobrev) into the film itself, where they're forced to abide by the rules of the movie's narrative in an attempt to survive.

Great Psychological Thriller
on November 8, 2015

Here's a surprise: The Gift is a mature thriller that's more complex and classy than the trailers suggest. I don't know what caused the marketing department to make the film look like such a second-rate, cheap, predictable thriller that somehow had gotten ahold of talented actors, but now we know the truth. As Joel Edgerton's directorial debut, it's impressive, considering the sense of craft going on behind the camera. The cinematography is gorgeous and the pacing is that of a slow burn, but it's never dull. The premise is also deceptively simple, turning more intricate and involving as the film progresses.
Edgerton, who also wrote the screenplay, refuses to adhere to genre conventions, constantly subverting audience's expectations on how the story plays out. Red herrings, plot twists, shifting perspectives, and moral ambiguity ensue, but they never feel cheap. Like the best thrillers, The Gift evolves naturally and realistically. Edgerton and Rebecca Hall are great, but it is Jason Bateman who impresses. As a natural comedian actor, he plays one of his rare, serious roles to terrific effect. But I digress. You should go into this film with a clean slate, but know that it is a rare, intelligent thriller that doesn't cheat or spoonfeed its audience. And in that regard, Joel Edgerton has given us a gift, indeed.
