Conflicted about price but worth it in the end...

I was conflicted about the more expensive Sony model versus the comparable Samsung model. Ultimately I trusted other reviews and Rtings. In the end, the Sony has an amazing picture and for us one of the more helpful specifications is the low reflective screen. We have a bright room with three side windows and a backlit room behind TV and the more matte screen is helpful for glare during the day. It is a great TV, no doubt.

We had another Samsung front load washer and dryer combo but without the pedestals. Decided with a new purchase that we would splurge and get the pedestals this time. I KNOW YON DON'T WANT TO SEPEND THE MONEY. We didn't either but it really does make doing laundry easier and more enjoyable (if that is possible).

Great upgrade!

We owned a previous Samsung washer for 8 years and like the brand. We left older washer with buyer of old house. We liked the look and size of this washer from the start. The black finish looks great and wipes away easy and doesn't show finger prints like normal stainless products. Functionally the washer has worked great for the first two months of ownership. Clothes come out very clean and you can tell that the washer does use less water and a high spin since clothes come out only a little damp prior to drying. The washer is plenty big to wash a large load and likely a bed comforter but we haven't tried that yet. Large towel loads work great and no balance or noise issues. The VRT+ works great and is quiet enough to do laundry later at night while kids are sleeping. We have used the add wash feature a few times and works great after you pause the washer as other reviews have noted. Great product, would highly recommend.

Nice upgrade but short of amazing

We had a previous Samsung dryer and very much like the brand. We had no issues with last Samsung dryer owned for 8 years (moved and left unit with buyer) or this new one for the first two months of ownership. VRT+ is an upgrade from the VRT unit we had last time and runs pretty quite. Laundry shares a wall with kids room and is quiet enough to do laundry while others are sleeping. Dryer is very nice looking and although the black stainless shows most dust or lint, it is also very easy to wipe away and doesn't shows finger marks like regular stainless products. Only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is that all the settings that aren't highest drying heat tend to leave clothes just slightly short of dry. While I realize the obviousness of that statement, we are trying to still find the balance of energy efficiency, not shrinking clothes, and drying temp. Would purchase again but for price I'd expect drying perfection.
