The support arm seems like it isn't adjustable but it is and it is very stiff. It needs to be to support the weight of the phone.
Even on rough or rather bouncy roads there isn't much movement.
I can position it perfectly in my 03 Taurus and 13 Kia Sorento.
Suction cup and adjustment keep it firmly attached to the windshield.

Upgraded my S3 to the S5 and the size is quite a bit bigger. I have average size hands but don't find the size to be an issue. I can use it with one hand without a problem. The Note series would be too large for one handed operation.
There are a multitude of customization's available to make the S5 fit your usage. I really like the option to turn off apps that I am not using to help save battery life.
The camera takes excellent pictures and the HD video is second to none.
Overall this is a fantastic phone.

I have not dropped my phone to test the screen protection but I decided to buy it when one of the sales associates showed me his Zagg protector that was completely shattered and the screen on his phone was untouched. If product is registered they will send a replacement for just a $3 fee. The tempered glass does not impair the sensitivity nor the beautiful HD display of my Galaxy S5.
