Very good replacement

We purchased this remote to replace our Logitech 650. And it was a seamless transition to the new one. Ready to copy over current config and the darker buttons are easy to see. Also very cost-effective.

Work without an adaptor for playstation 3?

Does the 700 work with the Playstation 3 without the IR adaptor or does it still need one to help control the playstation.

You still need the adapter as the PlayStation uses a different signal to communicate. PlayStation is on Bluetooth, where the Logitech is on ir.
