Recommended the band Halestorm by a friend and have to say I like the band. Lzzy Hale does a superb job on vocals for the band - really like the covers that the band picks and sings. My favorite cover song on the album is Heathens - prefer this version of the song actually compared to the original.

Great album

In short, Hardwired to Self-Destruct is the best album since the aka "Black Album" was released in 1991. Some of my favorite tracks include: Atlas, Rise!, Confusion, and Spit Out the Bone.
Pros: Sound production is much better than it was on Death Magnetic, something for everyone who is a fan of Metallica (thrashy, mid tempo, and groovy tracks)
Cons: A few filler tracks in the middle of the 2nd disc, could have used more shorter songs (most are over 6:40 in length)

Best Metallica album in 25 years (possibly longer)

In short this is Metallica's best album in at least 25 years. Some of my favorite songs include: Atlas, Rise!, Dream no More, Confusion, and Spit Out the Bone. This album is like a combination of all their albums into one: has trashy songs, song similar to "Sad but True," and songs from their Load/Re-load era. Sound production quality is also much better than Death Magnetic. Only a few negatives including that some of the songs in the middle of disc 2 sound too similar to me and wish the album had a better mix of shorter-longer tracks (most tracks are over the 6:20 mark here).
