My answer is yes, if you prefer not to use in-ceiling speakers. You would have to use a wall mounting bracket if you were to install them on the ceiling or just installing them higher on the rear wall. I am currently using them as rear speakers on my Atmos 7.1.2 with a 7.2 Yamaha receiver. In the future, I am considering using in-ceiling speakers on a 7.1.4 setup, using a 9.2 or 11.2 receiver that will support it. I am also using a wireless kit that I purchased from Best Buy for these speakers, very minimal latency and the speakers still sound excellent.
