Easy to Setup and Use

I bought this to experiment with smart technology. It was very easy to setup. Included sensors paired effortlessly. The app can be a bit daunting, but after few minutes I figured it out. What I haven't I figured out yet is the the killer app; what makes this a must have. All I have done so far is automate a light. nothing exciting, and something I could have done with a stand alone motion sensor. I have more sensors and switches en-route, so perhaps I will find that killer setup.
If you are looking for an easy to use smart home system, this will fit your requirements.

Nice Router, Dumb Setup Wizard

Setup: The netgear Wizard is, at best mediocre. With Comcast, the network is set up with my computer's MAC address that needs to be cloned into the router. the wizard provided no easy way top do this which made setup more difficult than it needed to be.
Operation: After one week, I can say it has been fantastic. my old router had many dead spots in my house. This one powers through all the walls and gives me the connections I need. I have not had to reboot it since I got it, unlike the prior that I put on a timer to reboot it daily.
Looks: A bit too futuristic for me. The LEDs are way too bright and light up the room at night. I will likely cover them with electrical tape to eliminate the problem.

Nice Oven, Noisy Fan

The microwave has tons of features, all of which work great. After over a year of use, I only have one complaint. The fan is obnoxiously loud even when only heating things in the oven. Because of the noise, I cannot recommend it (unless you are deaf, then buy it).

Not Real Sturdy

I bought this because I was desperate for a last minute trip with a new cell phone. The mount is flimsy and hard to install. Every time I take it off I am afraid I will break either the mount or air vent. The foam padding began peeling off a couple of days after I got it.
On the plus side, the grips are deep enough that I have mounted a wireless charger to it and now charge my phone without plugging it in. With a Galaxy S5 and it's stupid liitle door over the USB socket, this is a big deal.

Will my htc 1 smartphone be damaged by having it so close to the vents during high heat in winter or AC in summer?
My phone (Galaxy S5) is loving having cool air blown on it during the summer. During the winter, heat usually comes from the floor so I don't think it will be an issue. If it is, I will close the vent.
