i've bought a lg 42lv5500 and this may be asking for too much, but in the top usb slot ( 2nd one being the wi-fi adaptor slot ) can i use a usb switch ( i guess that's what it would be called ) to hook up a wireless key board and wireless mouse ?? owner's manual doesn't say you can , but it does not say you can't ???? or am i asking for to much technology ???
check your manual. If the television SUPPORTS wireless keyboards and mice, then yes, it makes sense that you'd plug the receiver dongle into the usb port. If the television has no support for the devices, drivers may be an issue.

should hdmi cable quality increase with legnth?
If i need 30' of HDMI cable, does that mean I should increase the quality because the signal has to go so far or does it not degrade with distance.
YES, the longer the cable, the more physical resistance to signal there is.

Not likely (I've never seen/heard of one, nor would it make sense for a cable to do that function). To expand the picture you'll have to go into the setup of your television and make alterations in the "picture" settings.
