The LG dryer I got uses this steam connection in lieu of putting water in the steam drawer like I had to do in my previous LG dryer. I wanted this model dryer for many other reasons but this is an added bonus. Mine are stacked, so I had to get on a step ladder to put water in the drawer because I’m not 10 feet tall. That was fine, but I like this added bonus of the direct connection.

I’m 5’4” and stacked a full size LG washer and dryer and can reach it just fine. Okay I did not personally stack these appliances because that would be hilarious, but I watched the guy do it. You want to get the best quality on this particular thing if you’re stacking full size units like I did. And you won’t be getting the drawer under the washer unless you’re a giant.

I wrote a review for the companion washer as well. I am very pleased with the set. MY last set was LG so I was already a big fan of the brand. Mine are stacked to save space in my laundry room. I’m about 5’4” and I can reach it all just fine. I liked the additional options with this model. I don’t care so much about the internet part, and haven’t tried that yet, but I like the extra dryer cycles, including the sports cycle. The sales guy knew everything imaginable about this set and explained it all.
