You learn from The Princess Bride BluRay it was a late blooming phenomenon only really catching on when it hit VHS tape. Similarly My interest was drawn even later. Love, danger, grief, fighting, quests, humor and rescue all in the name of true love. Love of a grandpa for his grandson frames the story of love for the modern fairy tale couple Westley and Buttercup set in fairy tale days. The two commentaries by the director and the book's author William Goldman round out the phenomena of the movie. I wouldn't have thought it possible from Meathead director Rob Reiner. But he did a terrific job bringing The Princess Bride to life. Jump on board The Princess Bride BluRay for the extras and the ride to true love. It's well worth it!.

The First Animated Feature And The BEST!

Walt Disney bet his entire studio and more on Snow White And The Seven Dwarfs. Everything he knew about storytelling, art and animation was sunk into it. Snow White praying for her situation and the dwarfs on her knees by her bed tells you everything you need to know about the difference between the mid 1930's and today. The contemporary extras on the BluRay disc are nice, except for the rap version of Snow White in 70 seconds. That tells you all about the comparative crudity of today. It appears to be a great transfer to BluRay. Snow White is a beautiful, moving work of art, short and to the point, terrific storytelling and well worth watching on these combo discs as a timeless treasure.

Clint Eastwood directs and Tom Hanks plays Sully in the "Miracle On The Hudson" US Airways plane water landing. Many people don't realize Captain Sullenberger faced a severe review of his actions for ditching his plane instead of trying to return to the airport. This is a story of staying cool under pressure and very inspirational both in the recreation of the plane ditching and rescue and the FAA review board interrogating Sully and his emotional turmoil.

Easy Change Out/Short Life For Rechargeables

For months I resisted shopping for new rechargeable batteries for my Panasonic cordless home phone. A slightly older Panasonic cordless phone system I own has battery packs that have set on their chargers for years without needing new batteries. My slightly more advanced 6 GHz Panasonic cordless phone had its AAA rechargeable batteries give out months ago incapable of holding a charge. These Rayovac rechargeable batteries tout their ability to hold a charge for up to one year. This is much lower than the battery packs in my other phones and seems like an unnecessary additional expense. On the plus side the old Nickel AAA Panasonic batteries popped right out and were easily replaced by these new Rayovacs. The new Rayovacs were not fully charged out of the package requiring hours to fully charge. Only time will tell how long they will last on the charger stand. In any case the expense seems unnecessary and these replacements expensive for such a short life.
