Good for Federal and State Filing

I bought this software the last week of 2017 when it was on sale. You need to wait until the final updates are issued in January/February before using it for filing. I alternate between purchasing HR Block and TurboTax, depending in whose product is on sale. I have used HR Block for 4 of the past 6 years, so understand the navigation. I use the electronic filing method for filing multiple Federal forms for my kids. I need to file multiple State forms, which are an added cost--this version only comes with one free State form.

Optical Does the Job

It is a simple optical cable--it works. I upgraded my main TV over the holidays, but found that the new TV output does not have RCA cables (red/white), but only Optical and HMDI outputs. Luckily my sound bar already had an optical cable slot, so all I needed was this optical cable. It was the only one in stock in my local store that day, happened to be on sale that day, and it works just fine. My sound bar is a simple 2.1 system rated at 100 watts, and the sound quality is fine.

Short Cord Works

I bought a 55" 4K TV over the holidays and needed a HMDI cable to connect my TV to the Comcast cable box. I also wanted a short cable length, so the cord does not show. This 3' cord works; there are no dropouts or problems with my picture on the TV, and the short length means that I do not have to hide the extra cable.

I have used HR Block software in the past, about 2 out of every 3 years. I use it to file taxes to submit multiple 4 forms for me and each of my kids. The program is able to import the last years files, so I do not have . I need the long form, and to file state taxes, so the auto transfer to the state is useful.

Added Memory to an Old Digital Camera

I have a four year old digital camera that was in need of a bigger memory card. This 8 GB was plenty for a 5 megapixel camera. These memory cards work. Nothing fancy, and they do the job. I did not need the class 10 speed, so this class 4 works well.
