I kind of want to give this a 1 star because I think that buying a $500 console and having it come with a controller where I have to either buy AA batteries every week or buy this additional accessory is a bit absurd.... but I will just review the product, and it does what it is meant to do. Nothing special. Just make sure you buy this with your console, because the AA batteries are eaten up quick (you could also buy rechargeable batteries instead, but I feel this is an easier option.)

Not going back to PS4

Ok so it may seem extreme but I will be upfront, there are few PS4 exclusive titles for ME, that make it worthwhile to keep using my PS4.
I purchased this for 4k capabilities and the added bonus of crossplay with a few titles that I can play with friends. PS4 and PS4 pro do not offer true 4k. And definitely does not offer crossplay... (I am sure we are all aware of #BlameSony at this point)
The graphics are spectacular. I have a 50" 4k tv with HDR and this look awesome. The OS is really smooth 99% of the time... at times the store bugs out but that is all. Chatting, gaming and overall navigation is smooth. PS4 has a similar problem (you'd think they would want their stores to be the smoothest experience)
Download speeds are insane. So my internet plan is 100/100 but PS4, wired caps at 50mbps downloading... if lucky. Xbox 1X uses the full 100mpbs when wired. I get 95-130 mbps. It is amazing to download an 50-90Gb game in an hour or less. Literally one of the most amazing things I have seen. (This is for a digital download from the Microsoft store. Discs are always fast)
Side note: Game Pass is the best thing if you do not have an Xbox library. It gives you access to hundreds of games for just $10/month. I was skeptical before I box the Xbox, but coming in with no library, it really helps you while you are building your library.

Finally returning to the formula that makes a 3D Mario game a good 3D Mario game. The levels are creative and relatively large in scale. Lots to do. My only complaint is that it is a bit linear. Sure there are some forked options but ultimately it does nothing.
