If you don't already know the premise, the main character (Bill Murray) relives the same day over and over. The blu-ray provides a nice clean picture, but the film was never that pretty to look at to begin with. Still - highly recommended.

People shouldn't discount this film just because of their feelings for Mel Gibson. Say what you will about him, but he is a great filmmaker. Apocalypto had solid acting, great cinematography, engaging characters, and lots of action. Sure, it's a little bloody, but if you can't stomach it, you shouldn't be watching rated R movies anyway.
Director Steven Spielberg's A.I. propels you into a future of astounding technology and adventure beyond the human imagination in an extraordinary film. In a future world of runaway global warming and awe-inspiring scientific advances, humans share every aspect of their lives with sophisticated companion robots called Mechas. Suddenly, David is on his own in a strange and dangerous world. Befriended by a streetwise Mecha (Jude law), David embarks on a spectacular quest to discover the startling secret of his own identity.

The blu-ray looks and sounds great - highly recommended for fans of the film. As for the movie itself, I really enjoy it, but it always leaves me feeling kinda depressed after a viewing. I don't know if the movie's ultimate message is hopeful or pessimistic. I guess it's up to the viewer to decide...
Oscar Winner Nicole Kidman, Ewan McGregor, Jim Broadbent and John Leguizamo head an internationally renowned cast in this musical extravaganza. Baz Luhrmann's sensual reinvention of the movie musical was Nominated for 8 Academy Awards including Best Picture. Set in a Paris nightclub that caters to society's decadent elite, the exhilarating Moulin Rouge follows the story of the ill-fated love affair between a stunning courtesan (Kidman) and a struggling young writer (McGregor).

I'm normally an action movie guy and I try to steer clear of "chick-flicks". However, I watched this with my wife one night and bought the blu-ray the next day. The visuals are amazing, the music entertaining, and the story draws you in and leaves you emotional at the end. The blu-ray picture and sound are top notch, and there's plenty of special features to keep you busy for hours.

First off, the blu-ray looks great - detail is outstanding, and this movie shines on a big screen TV. As far as the movie itself, it's much in the vein of the original - even the music is similar to Predator. It's a fun flick and lightyears better than those 2 AVP "films". Recommended.

I won't bother to review the films, other than to say Point Break & Executive Decision are the 2 gems in this collection. Swordfish is OK, and for the price of the 3-pack ($10 when I bought it), I consider it a bonus. This set contains 3 blu-ray discs - the same ones from the individually packaged movies. This is great, as the movies haven't been compressed to fit on a single disc as in some other multi-movie sets. Recommended!

This is the movie that re-launched Leslie Neilsen's career as a comedy performer. The movie is slapstick to the extreme - if you don't have a sense of humor - don't watch it. The blu-ray looks great, but I wish there were a few more extras.

This is one of those movies that everyone should watch at least once - it has it all: fun, comedy, emotion, and did I say fun? The blu-ray itself does the movie service - the picture is nice, better than DVD, but not as sharp as a modern film. Extras carry over from the DVD, but there's nothing new here.

Romancing the Stone was one of the best Action/Romance movies of the 80's. This blu-ray version features both movies on 2 separate discs. The video quality is excellent - definitely an upgrade from DVD. The sequel is not as good as the original, but is still a fun ride. Highly recommended.

A fun movie I first saw in the early 80's on HBO. Although Back to the Future III did the time travel/old west thing, Timerider did it first. The movie is a solid "B" film, and if you don't take it too seriously, its a lot of fun. In summary, Lyle Swann (Fred Ward) goes back in time with his motorcycle to the 1875. He needs to figure out where he is, and how he can get back. The best part of the movie, however, is the attempts of the lead bad guy (Peter Coyote) to get "the machine". The blu-ray looks surprisingly good for a low-budget 80's film. Extras include a commentary and a 20-min Making Of. Highly recommended for fans of the genre.
What's great about it: Time travel! Motocross! The old west!
