Good but needs improvements

Have had the machine for about a month and it seems to work fairly well. Not sure if this is good or bad, but after the clothes are washed, the clothes smell like the laundry soap. With my old washer, I could not. I really like the delay end function, which allows you to have the washer end at a specified time.
There are a few items about the machine I wish were different.
1. The end of cycle chime is too quiet. I cannot hear it when I am in another room.
2. Occasionally, throughout the wash, clothes end up being tossed to one side of the drum, The machine then gets out of balance and makes an awful thumping moise that shakes the house. This lasts until a new cycle starts.
3. The control panel is made up of flashing lights. During the entire wash, the lights flash. Even when you set the delay end function, the lights flash the whole time. I will set the delay end for 11 hours and the lights the whole time. I wish the lights would not flash all the time.
