I went into this movie as open minded as I could (Man of Steel left much to be desired). I had hopes that they tweaked their flaws and made their first team-up movies a great one, but for me it didn't happen. By no means is it a bad movie, however it isn't particularly great. Another consistently Dark movie, both in content and filmography. There wasn't much of a plot to the movie and what little it had wasn't that great. The cinematography is nice in some spots, but the overall darkness takes it down a notch. The acting is nice, but I'm not a huge fan of some of the actor/actress choices (Lex Luther, Wonder Woman, and 50/50 on Batman). I think the final fight sequence was rushed and the outcome was pointless (Granted I can see their reason, but it wasn't needed). In my opinion they over powered Wonder Woman, given that we don't know anything about her feats for the DC Movie-verse. One of the most powerful beings in the comic books (Villian of the movie) is basically beat down by someone who has had like 10 mins of screen time and basically no one knows much about her. It's just a little much to take in. Even though I wasn't pleased with what they did with her, she kind of stole the show from the boys. Finally, it was a bit long for the amount of plot there was. It was kind of drawn out and used a lot of filler. It could have been a better overall movie, but it could have been much worse. I think Batman is overrated, but that's the only character WB has wanted to utilize, until now. I think they rushed to throw him into a team-up movie (Same with Wonder Woman). Here's to a brighter future (hopefully). Oh and MARTHA?

Adam Sandler did a better job with this one

I know most people are hot or cold when it comes to Adam Sandler movies. Some think he hasn't had a good movie since Happy Gilmore or Billy Madison. Granted those are two of his best movies, but I think many of his other ones are good too, this being one of them. It was a change of pace for him and it turned out pretty good. It wasn't a typical Happy Madison production and didn't include all of his friends. It was a good mix of actors and actresses and has an interesting plot. Fun movie to watch.

What to say about Cap's third "solo" outing. It was a great movie. Lots of action, fun team ups, awesome reveals, and a few plot twists that keep you interested. With all the cast members that were involved it would have been easy to get lost in the Avenger like atmosphere, but they did a great job keeping its mostly about Captain and his relationships with the others. I don't want to spoil anything, but the inclusion of Black Panther, Ant-man, and Spidey were great. I think the Russo brothers are really giving Joss Whedon as the Marvel writer/director guru. This movie has something for everyone and is a fun filled action pack thrill ride. Worth a purchase!

They tried to make a movie in rememberance of the Chevy Chase classics, but didn't capture the same feel. Granted, that doesn't have to be a bad thing. It just means that they used a different formula for this movie. It had some pretty funny parts and was entertaining. Although, if you changed their names and take out the short cameo from the Parents, you might not know it was in the same world as the other movies. I did enjoy it though. As long as you can watch it without trying to compare it the style of the other movies, you'll be good. The humor in this one is more in the crude side as opposed to a squirrel chase scene or mr Nick papagorgio. It's a fun movie and has some funny scenes. Well worth a watch.

Here is another attempt and turning a Young Adult (YA) novel into a successful brand. However, this was not near as successful as that of other YA novels (Harry Potter, Twilight, Divergent etc.). If you've never read the book then it can be very enjoyable, but probably limited to the younger generations due to the use of "teenage angst". It has some decent actor/actresses involved with the project, but they can only carry it so far. There's a little bit of action thrown in, but I think there was more warranted than what we received. If your a fan of the book.... well you might want to pass. Not that it doesn't get some of the things right, they just probably change things for the worse in this case. The book is much better than this attempt (I'd say it's true for the follow up that they are making for television as well, but that's a different time and place). It stinks that they didn't do better, because they could have made a good run of movies, granted that they had a better direction and delivery on movie 1.
Recommendation:
Have NOT Read the book: worth a watch. It's a fun stand alone movie that can be enjoyable. Just don't think too much into it.
HAVE read the book: you may not want to bother, because if your like me you will mentally (or maybe verbally) pick the movie apart from what all you know from the source material.

The Equalizer is an excellent movie. Denzel Washington brings it yet again. I would have to say this is one of his best movies (I know he's had a lot). It has a similar feel to that of Man on Fire. The action is fun and inventive and although plot is not super in depth, it flows fluidly. If your a fan of Man on Fire or John Wick, I believe you will greatly enjoy this movie as well. Well worth the purchase.

Great second Act

I thought that The Purge was really good, but then you bring out the second one and it's even better. I think the second one help them kind of fix what held back the first movie. The suspense was better in Anarchy and it took it to a new level. I think that they made a great follow up to what was one of the better suspense/horror movies released in recent years. The Purge: Anarchy is played out on a bigger scale then its predecessor and you feel that this purge stretches beyond a single location. It helps drive the suspense onward. I thought this was a great movie and one of the better ones from 2014. Highly recommend this one.

As for Tom, he starts seeing a much younger woman, but Nathan fears she's nothing more than a gold digger.

Good start to a promising show

I think the good combination of humor and whit that goes into The Millers is great. They play to the strength of the actors comedy and it pay off I think. The cast has good chemistry on camera and makes it a bit more realistic. it think Will Arnett is great in his role. Some of the antics that go on between him and his family are pretty funny. It does have a few slow part among the first season, but they are things that could be expected for a freshman season for a new show. it has a lot of promise and if given the rating and keep the writers on board this could become a 3 or more season show. Well worth a watch.

I went into this movie not really expecting too much. I was greatly surprised though. I really enjoyed the movie and thought it was a great entry into the world of horror for Kevin Smith, granted that it had it's short comings and could improve. I thought it had plenty of unexpected moments. The big reveal was an eye opener. Justin Long did a good job in the role that he had and Michael Parks was spot on for the antagonist role. The part where Johnny Depp entered it kid of took and eerie tonal shift that would have been better left out, but I think other than that 10 min span the overall of the movie is very good. I could have done with a little more suspense and horror, but I'm sure that Smith will improve with his next horror outing (given that there is a next time). I thought this was a pretty great movie and with a little more it could have been even better. Totally worth a watch though. I would recommend to the majority of people because it tows the lined between horror and suspense and should be easily watched by the general population.

Great Movie.... yet not a soon to be classic

As much as I like this movie, it still doesn't compare to it's predecessor. The filmography is beautiful and it has a great score. The action is pretty great and it doesn't feel like you really missed much of a step from the first one to this one. Lots of action and blood shed is involved from all sides. It just lacked a little something, not quite sure what that something really is, but it is there. This movie needed just a little something extra to push it into the same realm as 300. Not to take away from this movie, because it is a pretty awesome movie. If you a fan of the original or war movies for that matter you shouldn't be disappointed (given that it is rated R for a reason). I thoroughly enjoyed this movie and it will have a high re-watch-ability factor. I would highly recommend.
