I am enjoying using my new Fitbit to track my daily activities - putting it on initially was somewhat of a challenge, but once I loosened the holes the strap pegs fit into, it was much easier. I used the end of a metal nail file to enlarge the holes a little but once I was able to get the pegs into and out of the holes a few times, it got easier. I do have some trouble getting it to sync with my smart phone occasionally and am not sure if it's the Fitbit or the phone - but it's interesting to see all the items it can track - it keeps me on my toes with reminders to get up and move.

What type of material is the band? I have a latex allergy.
I also am allergic to latex and these bands do not bother me, and I've worn them around the clock so I can track my sleeping habits. I think they must be silicone. They also make leather bands, but they are more expensive.
