It works just fine. However, neither the Windows 7 nor the Windows 8 machines would recognize it. I bought it for my old legacy Cannon BubbleJet which I dearly love. The BubbleJet prints CD labels beautifully and does not use an excessive amount of ink. It is an old printer with a parallel port and no USB port. The newer PCs with Windows 7 and Windows 8 no longer have parallel port connections built into them. So I bought the connector with a USB connection on one end for the PC and a parallel port connection on the other end for the printer. Both operating systems included the printer model in their internal lists, but neither one would print to it after selecting the printer. The problem is the parallel port, not the printer. I tried telling the operating systems to recognize the parallel device on LPT2, but it did not work. Maybe there is another trick that I missed. ???? I have no idea why they list the printer if it will not work on their operating system. The printer will always have a parallel port. I ended up dragging out my old legacy XP machine and I used the connector with that. It is working fine.

What's great about it: You can use it on a pre-Windows 7 PC that does not have a parallel port.
What's not so great: Windows 7 and Windows 8 do not recognize it.
