These speakers sound great! The only problem is that the sub amp blew out after only 1.5 years rendering the speakers useless. The amp also sent a power surge thru the 3.5mm jack into my 27" iMac and blew out the sound card on the logic board, an 1,100 dollar repair.
What's great about it: Great sound and power.
What's not so great: The subwoofer amp shorted out after 1.5 years.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
