The Wind Rises was supposed to be Studio Ghibli studio-head Hayao Miyazaki's final film before retiring, but he has since announced that he will direct a new film in the near future. Had this been his final film, it would stand out as one of his best. Highly recommended!

The UK version of this steelbook has a debossed title, but only has spot-gloss on the back cover, which I think is a lesser product.
Some fans of the original anime movie have complained about the content of this film being a watered-down version of the themes explored in it, but I felt like it was a great, stand-alone live action interpretation, based on the same story.
