Works well, quiet

My old one had lasted almost 20 years before giving up the ghost. I have a smaller than average space and it limited the number of units I could use. I settled on this one for various reasons, but ultimately it was the best available in my price range.
PROS:
--It is so quiet compared to my older unit. I was so used to hearing it upstairs on the other side of the house.
--Yes, the drying cycle is 3:10 with extra dry on. However, I run it overnight or odd hours. No worries. Most dishes are dry. The only issue seems to be my mugs which hold water on top of them. In this case, it is the item in the unit and not the unit itself.
--Stainless steel inside so there is no smell or yellowing over time. My old washer was annoying to clean and smelled. I would have to run a wash with vinegar or finish every other week. There was no reason for this except age.
--Installation: the gentlemen were quick, quiet and professional. Everything was done and I was hovering a bit to ensure I knew what was going on etc. They explained everything, showed me what they were doing and were quite pleasant about it. The main installer actually showed me how to fix minor (super simple) issues should they come up.

CONS:
--The silverware unit is overly large. It ends up taking some space away from where dishes can be placed. I am looking at a smaller piece I can put in the washer itself.
--It is so much smaller on the inside compared to my older unit. This will be an adjustment for me. I have had to reevaluate how I put items inside it as well as how often I run it.

I have an older Monster Box that has never let me down. During Hurricane Sandy, various tropical storms and blizzards - it has never shut down unless it needed to. In fact, I alerted my local power authority when I was getting high voltage. Turned out my transformer needed to be replaced.
I needed more outlets and finding that Best Buy no longer carried the Monster Box (or that they make them anymore?) - they recommended the Panamax. It was rather expensive, but I went ahead and purchased it.
I got it on time, set it all up and thought my entertainment system would be protected. Nope. Everyday, multiple times a day, it would restart itself. There was no voltage concern, no surges that I knew of (my CPU Battery Backup didn't trip) but this unit kept shutting off. I'd be in the middle of a video game on my new XBOX One X and bam shuts off.
I had to return it. I might have gotten a defective unit. I did a large amount of research on these, but I am really not sure I will trust this company again. I'd rather look into getting a used Monster Box.

I've tried third party brands and had some difficulty. The apple one works best, but that is also why I gave it 4 stars. I should be able to use a different branded cable and have it work as well as the original.

Beyond playing games, I am constantly on my computer. I am an author, do webdesign (staring at code for long periods of time) and I deal with accounting programs. Theses glasses help out a great deal. My eyes feel less tired and strained. Worth the money.
