Wonderful picture, great clean look. I bought this for my wife and she uses it as her daily task manager and to keep all of her pictures and do editing. This product is what Apple is famous for, but I encourage all first time users to take a class or tutorial to get the fullest use of their product

I was skeptical after reading some of the reviews but I decided to give this display a shot and have been so happy with it. Everyone that comes over says how beautiful the picture is.
Pros:
-beautiful picture, especially using Netflix 4K service (must purchase subscription, not included)
-built in casting, super easy once set up.
-remote is stylish tablet (roughly the size of an iPhone 6 Plus) that can be used to surf web or second screen

Cons:
-full menu only available through the app/remote not available using buttons on tv (any smart device can be a remote though)
-speakers are inadequate for a display this size (if you love your audio, get a Bose Cinemate 2 or other external speakers and sub)
-requires patience during set up (I like to think of myself as a tech guy, and this was easy for me, my 65 year old mom struggled setting hers up)

Overall it is a fantastic display, and if you get it wired into your home it becomes your go to way of sharing media inside your home. Gaming looks great, movies feel like your in the theater and the look of the display itself is razed thin with a slim border. This is the missing piece to your entertainment center.

I did not pick up the original Destiny. I bought this game after hearing all the hype surrounding it over a year later. Every bit of it has lived up to my expectations. The graphics are great, single player gameplay is fun, and the online community has been very helpful when I was just starting out. I have logged more than 100 hours in the game and still find new experiences every time I play. Excellent game, highly recommend!

If you have Direct TV , can their remote be programmed to work with this TV if you primarily watch those channels, or do you have to use the tablet remote?
Most universal remotes are programmable to Vizio products. Look up your remote online for the procedure and codes to add your new TV.

What is home theater didplay. ....and does the person buying this TV have to use a smartphone to view it?
The actual TV is called a home theater display instead of a TV because it does not have a TV tuner built in. If you use any type of cable service that uses a box (Cox, AT&T, TWC, etc.) you do not need this tv tuner and it doesn't matter. If you use an antennae to get your tv it won't work with this display.
The display comes with a tablet to control it, or you can use your smartphone.
