This is my second Panamax which is performing just as well as my first. I have used many other types however these units are exceptional in every way in regards to power. I looked for a sale before purchasing which reduced the price a few hundred dollars making it an outstanding value.

This Pioneer BDR-XD05S external drive allows you to archive up to 128GB of data on BD-R QL media and up to 100GB of data on BD-R TL media, plus supports DVD and CD formats, so you can burn your favorite movies and music to discs.

I bought a MacBook Pro and the Pioneer BDR-XD05S bd/dvd/ced writer with the adapter. I am having trouble playing blurays on my computer. It keeps stating not compatible with Mac. What am I doing wrong?

Mac computers do not natively play Blu-ray. Alway has been the case. It has been a technology never embraced by Apple. However you may use many of the third party software products from the Apple store which provide you with ability to play blu-ray, movies, burn Bluray disk, read disk etc. Such as Mac-bluray, dvd-fab and many others.
