I can't tell but I have a block problem as I installed Linux but I'm not an expert in linux my preferred os recently. But I think its for my ssd. I have no idea what raid is. I have an ssd for is and that s WD black for home folder and all that. So no problem. I will install games on it. In Linux you can't just to where to install games and 3d programs, Skype, etc. The price now is cheaper then when I made the purchase. Ssd are cheap on vacations and holidays instead. But i will test the WD soon installing swtor and ESO on it. Again Linux. So this hardrive was what I researched. Best buy rack was empty in this section somewhat when I got there. However, the guy helping me. Was extremely kind.the workers you can tell did not know it all but they were extremely friendly. I value that in my shopping to enjoy shopping. Overall I would recommend this. Ssd are also good to get instead if you want. But I now enough space as I went from 500gb to 750.

It works in my macbook. The customer service was friendly. I'm the kind of customer who lives to waste time. So I don't mind jumping through hoops. Only thing I should have done was purchase more ram to get 16 I only got 8 cause it apple officially support that.
