I had used the other kinds of screen protection from Zagg, I switched specifically to better use my stylus (use to take notes, sketch plans etc..). The smoother surface makes the stylus so much better. Added bonus is the elimination of the edge drift when you case pushes agents screen cover. The glass is super strong and stays put.

I was tempted to purchase a Sonos speaker for the kitchen as we love to listen to music (Spotify) and podcasts, then I read about the chromecast audio. For $35 it does what Sonos will do for $200. I have 4 chromecasts and set up multiple party groups to listen to them at same time. Best features are while you listen to audio your battery on phone/iPad won't get drained and setting up the group speaker modes. We had a Christmas party and had all 4 speakers going, it was awesome. Loved that I could repurpose old speakers and connect them. Even my 80s era boom box is now a wifi speaker!

I am normally a value shopper, wait till newest stuff comes out and buy older model (used or new). This time I purchased the iPad mini 4 right away. The productivity improvements are huge (split screen, watching a video as I write this review) is a huge must. I personally like the smaller size of the mini, and this year there is no performance difference between the IPad Air vs Mini. If you travel or like to work remote this is a must have. I also use a zagg Bluetooth keyboard to completely replace a laptop (most of the time)

I've used standard stylus before and this is definitely a huge improvement. Best feature is that you can rest your palm to rest on ipad and greatly improve on writing. Is it worth the money? Depends on what you use Paper 53 fo, it has replaced my "moleskin" so Yes (for me). I recommend getting a cheap (they always come in handy esp using ipad for recipes while cooking) stylus first and see if you aren't satisfied. I would definitely recommend.

Will the cast play with Amazon Music app?
I have Amazon Music app on my phone, will it play thru the chromecasst audio
Currently Amazon Music doesen't support casting. You can however "mirror" audio from computer that is a workaround. Almost all music services are available, Apple Music and Amazon aren't yet.

I wish to rip my CDs into hi-res audio (96KHz/24-bit). Is there a Chromecast-enabled hi-res media manager available?
You can "mirror" audio directly form you PC or laptop, so that should work. I would suggest you ask the chromecast community as someone probably has already done what you are trying to do

Cast mp3's from networked desktop computer
Have a few hundred GB mp3 music on networked desktop. Use JRiver, Windows Media Player or VLC media players to play. Can I cast the mp3's to a chromecast audio connected to my receiver using one of these programs? If not is there an app on Chrome that would access the mp3's on hard drive so as to cast them to receiver without having to upload them to Google Play?
Yes you can "mirror" any audio directly from your laptop/desktop. I'm on a Mac so I don't use those platforms. But if Apple works, which is at war with Google, I should think it would work with a PC.
