It's the third one of this model she's had...one was left in a motel, one is broken but works and she's happy about the new one...takes it to bed.

How far from a FM station can reception be expected, is the distance different for AM and Weather

At night one can get signal skip...My wife has listened to Seattle's classical station in New Mexico.

Never have been able to recieve any weather info on any of the bands only static. Is this a common problem, after all it's advertised to provide wx information.

NOAA weather reports are not to believed anyway..

My wife has found classical stations all over the west and many talk stations.

YES, my wife buys the ear buds by the dozen as they don't hold up to being used everywhere, even bed.

It doesn't connect to house power...it uses batteries.
