Not a bad game for the latest 3D entry in the franchise. I like the fact that you can choose your own character avatar. Some of the stages could be better, but coming off the awful Wii U games, this game is a step back in the right direction.

Bought on Black Friday, because I needed a new Dualshock 4 when my original one that came with my Destiny bundle broke after 2 years. So far I haven't had any issues, and I'm pretty tough on my controllers.

Great remake of the .hack//G.U. trilogy originally on the PS2. I like all of the improvements made to this remake. Haseo runs faster, so dungeons don't take hours, the combat system is slightly tweaked, you get more EXP and GP now, and Avatar battles are easier now, they were a real pain on the original PS2 games. Parody Mode and the terminal disc are also included in the remake, as well as a Part 4 Reconnect, which is basically an epilogue to the trilogy. My only complaint is that coming off Persona 5, normal battles in this game are way too easy. Other than that, well worth the $50 if you were a fan of the .hack games. Hopefully Bamco will also remake the original .hack Kite quadrilogy with all the trappings, as well as some of the obscure PSP games.

Best SAO game to date, better than Hollow Fragment

Hollow Realization is the latest installment title in this fairly popular series, anyone who's familiar with the anime or the light novels pretty much knows what to expect. You play as protagonist Kirito as he gets back into a rebooted version of the original Sword Art Online, going on quests and hunting monsters for item drops with a colorful cast of characters, many of whom are female and can be romanced. Basically, there's a lot to see and do. You can undertake quests to hunt monsters or farm said monsters for item drops. Certain powerful called NMs (Named Monsters) can be farmed for more powerful equipment. Like most RPGs of this type, gaining experience levels up your characters and gives you skill points, which you can use to learn skills to power up your character and min/max your basic stats. Story is pretty decent, not everything is as it appears at first glance. A sequel to previous games SAO: Hollow Fragment and Re: Hollow Fragment and SAO: Lost Song, but this game is better than either of those. Highly recommended for those who love RPGs or are big fans of the anime or light novel series. I own the PS4 version of the game, and the framerate runs smoothly for the most part, I can't comment on the cheaper PS Vita version.

Sega changed the formula for Project DIVA X, but not all of the changes made were for the better. The PS4 version runs at 1080p and 60fps, that's good. Tons of customization items too. Not so good: Only 20+ songs this time (not counting 2 DLC songs), compared to 40+ (again, not counting DLC) for Project DIVA F 2nd on the PS3. Also, Rush notes (hitting the button over and over on these) seems pretty pointless and only some songs have them. The worst is that all the customization items unlock randomly, so if you want all the items, it's a huge grind. Also, no real PVs this time, now it's just vocaloid dancing around on a stage. Songs are pretty good for the most part, but I prefer the F series overall. I really wish Sega had localized PD: Future Tone instead, but not very likely due to licensing issues. I suppose it comes down to how big a Hatsune Miku fan you are, you could opt for the cheaper PS Vita version.

In a year that was filled with disappointing JRPG releases, this was arguably the best SJRPG I finished last year. Imageepoch released Stella Glow despite being in financial turmoil and may very likely be their last game ever. It plays a lot like the old Luminous Arc games, good story, decent characters, solid tactical mechanics, although the game is a little too much on the easy side, and the fanservice is a bit unnecessary. If you're a big fan of the Luminous Arc games, this is a no-brainer purchase.

is this the real launch edition?
want to make sure it is.
I bought the Launch Edition. It comes in a bigger box with a few extras like a keychain, cloth poster, and a mini-soundtrack CD. The Standard Edition just has the game.
