Beats gets the press and you certainly see a lot of them around. However, they are heavy, lots of fatigue when wearing them and the sound blocking is just not in the same league as Bose. Comparing Bose in-ear to over-the-ear: the in-ear are unobtrusive and far more portable. They have all the sound and space of the over-the-ear, so it was an easy call to go this these. Bose are just hands down better ... and you pay for that
