Works very well on first placement

I am 25 miles south of Boston and there are plenty of TV signals but you need a good antenna - finally found one in this device! The instructions to set it up are a bit daunting, but once you take care of that it's a snap. I simply put it in my closet shelf with the coax running along the floor/wall and - to take a line from that informercial - I "set it and forgot it" - haven't needed to touch it since I first put it down on the shelf.

Room for Improvement

The iOS apps for this device are terrible. I've got this hooked up to my TV, Amazon Fire TV running XBMC, Xbox and soon will have it set up on my HDMI splitter. The remote itself is basic but does a great job - the bluetooth connectivity to the Fire TV is a great bonus. Unfortunately the iOS apps have terrible response time - you have to keep the app open at all times to make any real use of it. Luckily I can use the always-ready XBMC remote from my iPhone and iPad but still have to deal with the issue when watching over-the-air TV. It sometimes takes 10 seconds, sometimes 30 to get the app open and connected - even if the app was already running in the background - - even if you had it open 5 seconds prior! Thank goodness for the physical remote. I'm optimistic that there will be an upgrade to the App in the near future.
