If you are new to building computers or swapping out components, you may have seen that there are different types of power supplies. A modular power supply like this one allows you to choose which cables you need and only attach those, while a non or semi-modular has some or all of them already connected permanently. It's very convenient to be able to remove what you don't need especially when you are probably going to need to fit as much as you can into a small space. I justy built my first PC with this power supply recently and it was a cinch with this one. The EVGA G2 was widely recommended when I sought advice for my build and I will pass that recommendation along.

I use this as my secondary hard drive in my gaming/workstation PC (I have a 500GB solid state drive for Windows 10 and my CAD programs) and primarily put my games and photos/videos on it. It gets the job done and I've had no issues with it so far. You will get a significant boost in load times for games over the 5400 RPM drives. It's the next best option for games if you don't have a solid state drive or if you have one but lack the space.

Good for a gaming PC

I bought this for a gaming PC I just built and so far it's doing great. It tells you how much load is on the power supply with everything that's plugged in to it (mine currently runs at about 30-40% which is good). My computer puts out about 300W and this is rated for 530W so this UPS is more than enough. Just an FYI, only 6 of the 12 outlets will run on the battery, so take that into consideration.

The RGB lighting and effects are pretty sweet! You can customize your physical keys as well as the lighting for them via the program. The Cherry MX silent switches are also nice for me as I don't like too much typing noise. There is no real tactile "bump" from pressing the keys so if you prefer that you may want to look at a Cherry MX brown switch keyboard. There are also no media keys (volume control, play/pause/rewind, etc.) so take that into consideration. Otherwise it's a nice keyboard!

The Dualshock 4 controller hasn't drastically changed in my 2 decades playing Playstation consoles for a reason. It's a great controller that makes gaming easy. It's durable and works great.
