These are great for storage, I keep towels I use to clean up messes in the washer pedestal and I keep laundry supplies in the dryer pedestal. My laundry room is also a bathroom, so we would not have been able to open the dryer door if we did not get a pedestal.

I am very frugal and although this item is pretty pricey, the energy savings are definitely worth it. We had a thermostat that you could schedule temperatures but it was not user friendly and it was hard to adjust the schedule. This was perfect for when we went on vacation, I could turn off the heat from my app and make sure my house did not go below 40 degrees and when we were on our way home I was able to turn on the heat and have the house warm and ready!
