has to be within a certain bluetooth range which if you know bluetooth, thats pretty close. so you have to walk around and keep trying until you are in range for your device to connect and then try again in hopes it connected via bluetooth. great concept but needs work. will be returning. maybe will try again after a 3rd generation product is released and they worked out a few things.
