Great price for the 30 pack

Memorex blank media has always been a favorite of mine and the 30-pack is a way to go when you need not too few nor too many blank DVDs. The only con of this 30-pack is that it doesn't come inside a plastic package, like the 50-pack does, only with a plastic wrap on the outside.
Despite that complaint, I recommend the Memorex 30-pack.

These printable DVDs allow you to print labels directly onto the surface of the disc with a compatible inkjet printer.

If you're in a hurry to get recordable media, this ten pack from Memorex is a quick buy. I got favorable results when using these DVD-R's. The included marker was a decent substitute for the marker I always use, which is a retractable Sharpie, but it works in a pinch.
I recommend this package for when you need some blank DVDs and your workload isn't that heavy.

Good purchase, a lil' bit of work to label these.

What can you say about cases. The purchase of this fulfilled my need for media since I much prefer hard cases to the paper sleeve.
The cons for this product is that if you want to end label these cases using a printed label, because they are thin cases, prepare for a little bit of work. You have to use a 1/4 inch 2 line label, leaving the first line blank, then do your printing on the second line, then take your label and fold it over on the case so the print shows on the end of the case. Yeah, it's work, but you do get a labeled case.
Whether you want to label the case or not, I do recommend these cases.

Blue Thunder flies again in this budget priced edition. The plot involves Los Angeles helicopter cop Frank Murphy (Roy Schieder), who is given the opportunity to pilot "Blue Thunder", the LAPD's new tactical copter. But during his investigation of a Los Angeles Congresswomen's death, Murphy discovers he must run for his life when he finds out about a group of people who want to use Blue Thunder for a far more sinister use.
The film also stars Malcolm McDowell, Candy Clark, Warren Oates and Daniel Stern.
The Pros of this Blu is a great looking transfer. The Cons is that there is no lossless DTS soundtrack, just a Dolby Digital 5.1 one. Also, since this is a budget priced title from Mill Creek Entertainment (licensed from Columbia Pictures), it is a movie only version which autoplays when you put in the disc.
Anyway, what more can you say, it's Blue Thunder for eight bucks, which was the incentive for me to buy this.
If you're not a DTS fanatic, and don't care for bonus materials for a film, I recommend Blue Thunder.

Going to Pandora has never been easier.

James Cameron's Avatar is now available in Blu-ray 3-D, but it's a mixed bag, so to speak. The film's about a paralyzed Marine named Jake (Sam Worthington) who, after his brother's death, is assigned to take his place in the Marine's Avatar program, in order to go "undercover" to infiltrate and observe the Na'vi race, in order to help prepare the Marines to get a much needed metal. But as time goes on, Jake finds out that the Na'vi are not what the Marines make them out to be, which sets up the life and death battle which encompasses the final third of the film.
The Pros of this release is that this is a 3-D and 2-D Blu-ray dual format disc which means you can watch the film on any Blu-ray player (3-D on a 3-D player, 2-D on a regular Blu-ray player). The film is fantastic looking in 3-D. Also, thought has been put in the placing of the subtitles for the film so that the subtitles never interfere with the 3-D visuals. The set also includes a DVD of the 2-D version.
The Cons of the set is that it is a movie only version, so no bonus materials are to be found.
Avatar is one of those films that deserve to be seen in 3-D, as none of James Cameron's 3-D projects have failed to entertain me. If you are planning on getting a 3-D setup in your home or if you are wanting to get 3-D material to show off your 3-D system, Avatar gets a recommendation from me.
