judge a movie on its own merits

the remake to the classic with arnold in it, and if judged against classic total recall, a total failure.
judged on its own however and suddenly, you have an excellent, pulse pounding action packed thriller of a movie.
I'm a fan of not judging a book by its cover, so do yourselves and this movie a favor, judge it on its own merits, grab some soda and popcorn and enjoy an excellent action movie.

a new startrek for a new generation. as a fan of the older movies, and cognizant on not judging a book by its cover, initially I did NOT like this new startrek movie, but then I went and saw into darkness and was convinced, perhaps I'd been too hasty in passing judgement.
I was, and I'm glad I gave this movie a second chance. a movie well worth watching.

I first saw this the opening weekend of ironman 3, had intended to see that movie..but the showings for the week were booked solid, so we saw startrek into darkness, and I liked it. it made me give the previous film in the series a shot. well worth watching.

by far and away the best terminator since terminator 2 judgement day, successfully recapturing that feeling from T2, you hit the ground running right off, with well timed slow moments to catch your breath.
as the terminator would say 'I'll be back' and I cant wait to see him in the next one.
