I picked this up for a bedroom and so far I am impressed. Great picture,so-so sound but that's not a problem as I am using external speakers. Lots of features one would not expect on a 'lower price" television. I cannot comment about durability as I haven't owned it long enough but so far,so good!

This mini-series takes place in Miami at the end of the 50's. Lots of cool cars and gangsters. It's pretty explicit,lots of nudity and foul language but if that dosen't bother you this may be a series you'd enjoy. I certainly did and the BD box-set is reasonably priced!

While I cannot speak to the durability of this streaming BD player I can say I like it so far. This player is 3 rooms away from my router,yet the Wi-Fi is very powerful and connects very fast.. BD's and DVD's look great too. The only thing that annoys me is I've had to restart it 3 or 4 times by unplugging it for a few seconds and plugging it back in. I've had to reboot because it just freezes and won't do anything! At present this is a minor irritation but if this problem persists I will not be happy. Overall I'm pleased with it's performance.....So far,So good.

Hi, I am interested in this blu ray player, Pioneer - BDP-80FD - Streaming 3D Wi-Fi Built-In Blu-ray Player - Black
Model: BDP-80FD SKU: 7671005 . I don't think this comes with an HDMI cord. If it doesn't, can you tell me which cord I would need? I have a 55 inch Sanyo flat screen that I'll be using with it. I saw on the website that there are MANY different HDMI cords & prices. I can't spend A LOT on one but I want one that will take advantage of the blu ray clarity. I'm new to this....thanks for the help!!!

A basic high speed HDMI cord can be had for just a few dollars is all you need. You do not need an expensive Monster brand cable though they'd like for you to believe you do!
