The sound repercussion of a system this size is astonishing! I had the HP 2.1 system(Harmon Kardon), and I thought those sounded good. The imaging alone on these speakers was shocking to me the first time I listened to them. The separation is great for such a small set of satellite's, and the sub produces a very rich deep accurate bass. Not only does this system sound amazing, it can get loud...real loud! This is one of the most powerful 2.1 sets you can buy(200w). Besides the outstanding performance by these speakers, they have a very simple but yet monitor/studio look to them. I leave my grills off and they look very sexy. The headphone output is very solid and powerful. Though I dont have a very stellar sound card, the Klipschs amp produces soooo much more power to my hungry phones. The only sour note I've read about this set was the vol/sub knobs have a tendency to ware out if abused. You can fix that problem by getting a keyboard with vol keys right on it. My new HP came with such a keyboard. I set my vol. to about 66% and my sub level to about 45% on the speakers and haven't touched them since I bought them. I do all the tweaking with the various settings on my comp. or app.(Win-amp). Many may be put off by the price, but let it be known....they are worth every penny and more!

Good product but needed better information!

So far it seems like my HP Envy desktop is a decent product. I do have concerns about the knowledge base & service quality of Best Buy and Geek Squad management customer representatives. I was told the day I bought the desktop that it would be easy to add storage capacity. One salesperson even opened up the side of the display model to show me the slots and connections that could be easily used. After I set up the computer myself I received an email offering free geek squad services. Upon calling in to Geek Squad to set up an appointment to add storage space, I learned the service was limited to setup but that I could bring the new machine in for a $39 hard disk installation, not including the cost of a new, additional, hard drive. When I came in for my appointment I was told by Geek Squad that it would cost another $100-150 (maybe more, i forget), not including the cost of the hard drive, to install additional space. That did not sound right. After talking to management I was told again that the original estimate was correct. I was then told it would take an hour to install the drive. I went and had coffee at a local coffee shop. When I came back I learned that with all the confusion of other customers they had not set up a ticket for my installation. The Geek squad tech said he would take care of it. I waited another half hour or so and the tech came back and said they do not have the proper parts to do the install. The tech recommended a few ways I might find the parts myself. I then looked for the original manager to update him on my lack of progress after over two hours. I was not able to find the original manager but found the current one and he took my card and promised to follow up with me. He thought Best Buy should be able to find the parts and take care of my installation. It's been over a week and I have not hear from anyone. I experienced over the course of a few days a comedy of mis-information and errors. I believe all the people I dealt with had good intentions but in the end the system failed me miserably. Despite what seems like a fairly decent computer, after my experience, i would not recommend it to others.

This review has NOTHING to do with the actual product. You just rant on about the poor Best Buy service you received. It's unfortunate you had that experience, but giving the product a bad rating because of it is just pure nonsense. You should retract this review.
