Is this portable wireless speaker. Could I take this to a pool or beach and listen to music via Bluetooth. It appears it also has a plug in source.
It does not have build in battery, so you need a plug in all the time.

If I get 2 of these, can I use both at same time?
you can hook both of them with a y aux cable, but I know they don't synch through Bluetooth unlike BOOM from Logitech ultraUE.

Could this be used instead of a soundbar ? ( Samsung 40" 4k smart TV with bluetooth)
yes, you can connect through Bluetooth, or use aux input, but from my experience, the Bluetooth has some lag, so the sound may not synch with the picture.
