A replacement for a nicer machine

This was purchased as a replacement for the unit sold with a home. The previous model was the earlier version of this washing machine. Although the newer version is nice, I think the previous version I had was a little nicer. I find that the "download" feature as superfluous and could be replaced with a more standard cycle. If you need to start your washing machine using wi fi you might as well save the money of owning a washing machine and just hire a cleaning service instead. All things equal, this machine does a really good job of cleaning, and quickly!

My dishwasher came with all the proper lines and connections and I did not require this kit at all...wish I didn't feel forced to purchase by the store associate. The dishwasher page on the website even shows that it comes with all required pieces for installation. Having a backup isn't always a bad idea though.

The filter is easy to install and more readily available than I thought it would be. Nice that I can use my Reward Zone certificates to purchase. Doesn't come pre primed and requires flushing of approximately 5 gallons before using regularly. Try to imagine having to stand at a fridge door trying to fit a container large enough to go through 5 gallons of water into the little slot where the water tap is...good filter, bad fridge design I suppose.

Dishwasher is pretty pricey but does an amazing job at cleaning dishes! It is whisper quiet, no joke, there is a light that shines onto the floor to let you know it is running a cycle. Cycle times do run rather long...2 hours or more in some cases! I dont really like the top utensil/silverware rack like I thought I would, I am too used to putting larger items in (20 oz ice tea glasses - like Steak n Shake used to have)...they only fit on one side of the middle rack now. Cutting boards don't fit as well either and really can only be placed on one side otherwise they block a main water inlet. Lowest rack has way too many plate tines that have zero adjustability (fold down for larger or odd-shaped items). I feel like I have to check every piece that I put inside to make sure spray wand is clear. I don't like I have to organize the dishwasher perfectly, it needs to be more universal. Also, when the cycle is done the control panel does stay on unless you physically press the on and off button. Overall, the price is worth if for the way it cleans and how incredibly quiet it is but there are several parts to it I would change immediately if I could (If I was to buy another I personally would not get the model with the top rack.).

Definitely my 2nd choice behind the Pro model. Not as expensive...key words are "not as." These are still very expensive. As with most of the Beats headphones, the sound quality is up with some of the best headphones available. They are comfortable for a smaller set. Definitely "packable." If you can manage to save up a little longer, I would still recommend going with the Pro model.

My set is only a year old. The paint is melting around the front rim of the dryer opening and also leaves a gritty residue around the seal. What could be the cause?
I have this set, and had the previous generation for five years at a home I just recently sold.
Not sure about the paint issue, but it may also share symptoms with the gritty residue around the seal.
These seals tend to always be a magnet for lint and/or grit. I have always kept a microfiber cloth nearby to wipe down the seal and door window if we have had a long weekend of laundry. However, I often wonder if there is cause for any of this by the length, and number of turns, of the dryer vent pipe. These are strong machines and push a lot of vent air, but they have just as much trouble pushing air through long exhausts. Especially with several bends! Additionally, I believe, if there is lint built up in the exhaust vent it would cause a "dirtier" door and seal, otherwise the lint, grit, and exhaust would continue freely through the system.
It is possible this could be the reason... It easily could also not be the reason. LG has worked very well for me in the past and you may also be able to contact customer support for more information.
