"The French Connection" or The Lampoon's "Vacation," these flicks are NOT......but this very low priced comedy collection will give you a few belly laughs and are just "adult" enough to keep your mind in the gutter for a few hours of giggles and semi-gross-Outs!

Aretha Franklin is a classy & immensely talented singer in anyone's musical atmosphere. Do drop a few more dollars and listen to her "Best Of" collection FIRST. I suggest her "30 Greatest Hits" from 1985. Hear how she beautifully gift wraps such covers as "Eleanor Rigby," "Bridge Over Troubled Water," and "Rock Steady." Now to Holiday Time 2014 and stand back, crank it up and bear witness to 10 new recordings that will astonish you. All ten songs are great songs, with marvelous production values. Hard to pick a favorite, but Ms. Franklin's versions of "Rolling In The Deep," as well as "Nothing Compares 2 U," might have easily been signature songs for Aretha had the Originals been released a bit later than they were. I often find myself hitting the shuffle button of the 40 song playlist you get importing both albums for a real sonic treat on a long drive.

A great cast, a shop-worn idea with loads of technical inaccuracies can be a "warm" mess, but in this case, it makes for a decent movie that you will only see once. I tried to watch parts of it a second time with friends and nope, it was not worth the second glare.

Double disc better value

I purchased the single disc version of "50" for myself. See my musings there. This 2 CD version I purchased for my cousin who is a British Rock and especially Who fanatic. Since I was shipping the album as a gift I chose this version. It is a matter of how many songs you get per dollar and how much of a "sampler" you want. Note: every version has just the one brand new track ("Be Lucky"). This package is labeled remastered and in A to B headphone comparisons is slightly crisper than a best of disc from about 10 years ago. If you want a long & up to date Who "Best of" this is what you hope to find in your stocking!

Watch the version you buy, color of cover matters!

This review is of the 21 song version, single CD. I just wanted the new track "Be Lucky" on an official CD along with the "sampler" that is this album. The cover says it is remastered & I put that to the test. This "best of" versus one from a decade or so ago, with the original CDs listening to numerous songs using Bose, Klipsch & in ear Monster head sets. You can hear a slight improvment in the crispness of the guitars for sure on the new disc. You DO have to really listen critically of course. So if you want an up to date single disc Who "best of" THIS is your best choice.

Undeniably cool cast with a stand out performance by Mel Gibson, who steals the entire film! The problem is a very mediocre plot, as predictable as a fairy tale. Good, just not excellent, as I would have expected when Sly & Friends took their third swing at this franchise!

I bet at least half of Blake's fans got to know him on "The Voice." I fully admit to that as well, although I did know a few of his tunes from country radio. This album seems to bridge the gap for me with Country POP with country/ country-rock woven together, with a dear reverence for what we as a people (& a nation) are all about. Obviously Journey has a new lead singer for at least the last 7 years, BUT so what. We saw the Arnel lead Journey a few months ago and they were phenomenal bar none. Howevever if you want to hear a great moreover supreme moment of Steve Perry singing his pants off, here is your chance. Get his disc, it is supremely great. Worth every penny and nanosecond of your time. That is all folks!
